Much of our AI runs right on your Mac. Features like background removal and voice cleanup can process your recordings locally, so your content stays closer to where it belongs — with you.
How it works
From a raw recording to a finished product demo on your Mac, in four steps.
- 1
Record your screen and audio
Open mocka.screen, choose a display or window, and record. System audio, microphone and webcam are captured together.
- 2
Polish the recording
Cursor smoothing and automatic zooms are applied for you. Add a background, device frame, webcam cutout and captions, and clean up the microphone with on-device noise removal.
- 3
Add an AI script and voiceover (optional)
On Pro or Studio, let mocka.screen analyse the recording, draft a timed script and generate an ElevenLabs voiceover.
- 4
Export or share
Export H.264, HEVC or ProRes on your Mac, or create a share link.
Frequently asked questions
What is mocka.screen?
mocka.screen is a native macOS screen recorder and editor for making product demos and tutorials. It records 4K 60fps video with system audio and microphone, smooths the cursor and adds automatic zooms, removes background noise on-device, and can draft a script and ElevenLabs voiceover with AI. It runs on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later) with macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
How do I screen record on a Mac with internal (system) audio?
macOS 14 and later let apps capture system audio through Apple's ScreenCaptureKit framework. mocka.screen uses it to record your screen, system audio and microphone together, so you do not need a virtual audio driver such as BlackHole or Soundflower.
How does mocka.screen compare to Screen Studio?
Both are Mac-only recorders with smooth cursor movement and automatic zooms. mocka.screen adds AI screen analysis, AI script drafting in 70+ languages and ElevenLabs voiceovers on its Pro and Studio plans, and exports HEVC, ProRes 422 and transparent web video. Plans start at $9/month. See the dated comparison at /guides/screen-studio-alternative.
Does mocka.screen remove background noise from my microphone?
Yes. mocka.screen runs the DeepFilterNet 3 neural noise-suppression model locally on your Mac to reduce fan hum, air conditioning, keyboard clicks and room echo, then applies EQ, compression and loudness normalisation. This audio cleanup does not upload your recording.
Can mocka.screen write and narrate a voiceover for my demo?
Yes, on the Pro and Studio plans. mocka.screen analyses the recording, drafts a timed script in your chosen tone and one of 70+ languages, and generates the voiceover with ElevenLabs v3. These AI features use monthly AI credits and send the needed data to AI providers only after you consent.
Which Macs does mocka.screen support?
Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Intel Macs and macOS 13 or earlier are not supported.
How much does mocka.screen cost? Is there a free trial?
There is no free plan or free trial. Starter is $9/month or $84/year, Pro is $19/month or $180/year with 1,500 AI credits a month, and Studio is $35/month or $336/year with 4,000 AI credits a month. A first payment can be refunded within 14 days if no AI credits were used.
Which export formats does mocka.screen support?
H.264 MP4, HEVC (H.265), ProRes 422 and a transparent web video format, rendered locally on your Mac. You can also create an optional cloud share link.
Is mocka.screen related to Mokkit?
No. mocka.screen is made by mocka.studio and has no relationship with Mokkit.
